Bill Blass - Dean Of American Designers
Often referred to as being the “Dean of American Designers,” William “Bill” Blass was known for his ability to create women’s wear in innovative patterns and textures that pleased even the most discerning of fashion aficionados.
Bill Blass followed a simple mantra that was different from many designers of his time as well as many designers today: he believed that the client should always be in charge. As such, he made it a point to travel throughout the United States to makes sure his clothing was both functional and attractive to his clients.
