Complete Information on Caroli disease
Caroli disease also is known as communicating cavernous ectasia. Caroli’s disease is a rare inherited disorder of the liver. It is characterized by saccular and cystic dilatation of intra-hepatic biliary ducts.
Caroli disease is associated with recurrent bacterial cholangitis and stone formation. It is distinct from other diseases that cause ductal dilatation caused by obstruction. It is not one of the many choledochal cyst derivatives. It may be associated with autosomal-recessive polycystic kidney disease. The likely mechanism involves an in utero event that arrests ductal plate remodeling at the level of the larger intrahepatic bile ducts.
Anxiety Medicines - Drugs Used in Anxiety
These are tranquillo-sedative drugs which fall into the category of benzodiazepines and have gained tremendous popularity. Since these drugs are known to counteract anxiety and tension, they have been indiscriminately used by both the patients and the physicians.
Creosote Exposure and Health Effects
Creosotes including coal tar, coal tar pitch or coal tar pitch volatiles has been deemed extremely hazardous to human health. Side effects include kidney or liver disease, convulsions, chemical burns, cancer - and in some instances scrotum cancer. Laboratory studies conducted on animals found that even the smallest levels of exposure to wood creosote caused death.
The severe nature of exposure to creosote has marked it, as well as similar chemical byproducts including coal tar, coal tar pitch and coal tar pitch volatiles, as a deadly carcinogenic that can cause an array of diseases anywhere from liver and kidney disease to throat and stomach pain, depending on the type of exposure.
